We are immensely proud to be part of the annual Abu Dhabi Art Gateway Exhibition, a platform that celebrates both local and international artists through their unique artistic narratives. This year’s exhibition is curated by the esteemed Dr. Venetia Porter and features a special focus on Emirati painter and multi-disciplinary artist Hashel Al Lamki.
In this illustrious setting, we are honored to display a remarkable piece from our collection by Hashel Al Lamki. This exhibition, entitled “Maqam” – named after the neighborhood in Al Ain where Al Lamki grew up – offers an intimate look into his artistic journey.
Visitors are invited to traverse alongside Al Lamki as he reveals his odyssey in art. Much like the maqam in music, a melodic pattern of elements, this exhibition interlaces Al Lamki’s past and present works, providing a deep insight into his evolution as an artist and his visions for the future. The exhibition resonates with themes of natural landscapes and human intervention, portraying a profound narrative.
